Structure of Horizontal Ribbon Mixer
Mixing cylinder: Horizontal U-shaped groove deesign, material optional SS304/316 or carbon steel lining wear-resistant coating.
Stirring parts:
- Main ribbon: The outer ribbon pushes the material to one end.
- Auxiliary ribbon: The inner spiral ribbon pushes the material in the opposite direction to form convection shear.
Drive system: Reduction motor + cycloid pinwheel reducer, speed is usually 15-60 rpm (adjustable).
Discharging method: Pneumatic / manual butterfly valve (optional quick opening type), residual rate<1%.
Horizontal Ribbon Mixer Working Principle
Horizontal ribbon mixer relies on the motor to drive the main shaft to rotate, driving the ribbon blades to rotate in the horizontal cylinder. Its mixing principle is:
1. External ribbon: Pushes the material from both ends to the middle.
2. Internal ribbon: Pushes the material from the middle to both ends.
3. Cross-motion of upper and lower ribbons: Forming axial + radial + circumferential three-dimensional motion.
4. Shearing and flipping: Prompting the material to disperse and mix quickly.
This "reverse flow" structure enables the material to be evenly mixed in a short time, especially suitable for powder or granular materials with low viscosity and good fluidity.
Applicable material types
- Powder mixing: Such as milk powder, flour, gypsum powder, chemical additives, pesticide wettable powder, etc.
- Particle mixing: Such as feed, plastic particles, coffee particles, nutrient particles.
- Solid-liquid mixing with a small amount of liquid: Such as modified powders with flavors, adhesives, etc.
Advantages of Horizontal Ribbon Mixer
- High mixing efficiency and good uniformity (CV value can be ≤5%).
- Can handle large quantitie of materials, suitable for continuous feeding and intermittent mixing.
- Compact structure, small footprint, easy operation and maintenance.
- Can be customized with explosion-proof, electric heating, vacuum degassing and other functions.
