1. Different mixing principles

• Folding blade double planetary mixer: Two folding blades revolve + rotate in the cylinder, running like planets, forming three-dimensional shearing and tumbling mixing, which is a forced dispersed mixing
• Horizontal ribbon mixer: Relying on the internal and external ribbon structures to allow the material to flow in both radial and axial directions in the horizontal direction, it is mainly a convection mixing.

2. Suitable for different powder states

• Folding blade double planetary mixer: Can stir powders with high viscosity, low fluidity, or powders that need to be mixed with a small amount of liquid, such as ceramic mud, lithium battery powder, and special function powder after adding liquid.
• Horizontal ribbon mixer: Suitable for light powders with good fluidity, such as flour, calcium carbonate, and talcum powder. (If the powder is high in viscosity or easy to clump after adding liquid, the stirring effect will be poor).

3. Mixing uniformity

• Folding blade double planetary mixer: Higher standard, uniformity can reach>99%, and with the wall and bottom scraper, there is no dead corner.
• Horizontal ribbon mixer: Suitable for general requirements (uniformity is generally 85%-95%).

4. Efficiency

• Folding blade double planetary mixer: Small batch size, but stable quality of each batch, suitable for high-end customization and fine materials.
• Horizontal ribbon mixer: Large batch size, fast speed, suitable for mass production, low cost.

If you need to process a large amount of dry powder and materials with good fluidity, and presue output and cost ➔ choose horizontal ribbon mixer.
